1946 (25 May) envelope registered and addressed to Yungcheng in Honan bearing Paicheng print $20 tied by Hami English/Chinese c.d.s. with manuscript registration number alongside and a good strike of the boxed handstamp "Under special condition, correspondence returned" in black; the reverse with a fragment of the registration slip and Lanchow c.d.s. (6.9); a little roughly opened at top. The postal route was not open due to the civil war. Interesting postal rate (at five times) paying postage $20, express registration $50 and air mail $30.
