1765 (30 May) entire letter "p Capt. John Fowler" to Sir James Lowther "To be forwarded by Messrs. Dan Lascelles & Co. Merchants in London", rated "4" and showing, on reverse, largely fine large "barbadoes" handstamp overstruck by Bishopmark with under-inked "limington" handstamp alongside. Very rare with only about six examples of this handstamp recorded, of which this is the earliest. Photo
