1761 (17 July) entire "p Capt. His Majesty's Ship Baimfiesant" to Rev. Dr. Bearcroft, Master of the Charter House, London, rated "10" and showing, on reverse a superb strike of the "barba/does" handstamp alongside Bishopmark (15.10); the first recorded date of use of this handstamp and one of only three recorded examples of mail transported from the island by warship.
