Grenada
Postal History
Crowned Circle Paid: 1860 (8 June) envelope to Glasgow showing a very fine strike of the crowned "paid/at/grenada" in red showing fine double-rings, with "1" and "5" rate marks and London Paid (27.6) transit, the reverse with a part strike of the code "C" despatch c.d.s. and Glasgow arrival. The envelope is a little soiled though a fine example of this scarce marking, used during the provisional period between the use of G.B. stamps and the introduction of Grenada's own stamps in June 1861.
