The company, founded in 1866, built and operated the railway between from Oderberg in Silesia to Kaschau in Upper Hungary, today's Slovakia. For Hungary, this line was important for the transport of Silesia coal. The track were part of the line of the Orient Express. It was nationalised in 1921.
