1882 (16 Sept.) opened-out envelope to Imperial Customs, Shanghai (recipient's name excised) bearing Great Britain 1881 1d. lilac with 1880-83 4d. brown (perfin "S/CLS/S") tied by London "SW 51" duplex with wide setting 3ca. vermilion-red [19] showing broken claw tied by "customs/shanghai" c.d.s. in bright red (2.11) with a further strike on the reverse along with Hong Kong transit (28.10). A rare and appealing incoming cover with 3ca. paying the internal postage.
