1882 (30 Aug.) opened-out envelope to U.S.A. "Via San Francisco. Per S.S. City of Peking" bearing, on the reverse, wide setting 1ca. deep green pair [7-12] from Setting III with 5ca. buff-yellow [25] cancelled by a fine strike of Tientsin type B seal in black with the despatch c.d.s. alongside with faint Customs Shanghai c.d.s. (3.9) in red. The address side with U.S.A. Taylor 5c. blue cancelled by segmented cork obliterator with a faint strike of "u.s. postal agency/shanghai" type IIb c.d.s. (an offset ties the adhesived on the reverse) and with San Francisco (13.10) and Westfield (20.10) c.d.s. on the reverse.


Very fine and attractive, fully prepaid (7ca.) at Tientsin
