Auction: 160 - The Henry "Hap" Pattiz Collection of Nepal
Lot: 2116
Hellrigl #13b, c, 1889-98 4a (Bright) yellow green, later printings on native paper of good quality, imperforate, complete sheet, of 64, setting 5, a lovely and very important sheet showing full sheet margins that show the sheet framelines now on all four sides including the top plus the last two words have been separated again, the spacing and alignment of the inscription in relation to the stamps is different than any other setting, position 54 shows the inverted cliche and given the rarity of identifiable multiples of this setting it is certainly as rare, if not more so, than setting 4 which Hellrigl specifically mentions, the color is an intense bright yellow green and has a very clear impression that show the constant and progressive plate flaws well, wonderfully well preserved on fresh paper, usual light horiz. and two vert. folds usually between rows, one affects the third vert. row, very fine; a unique sheet of the greatest importance as this sole example establishes clearly all the features of this setting and is crucial to identifying any other marginal multiples from this setting of which there are very few known; one of the most important items of Nepalese philately; (Scott #9; a; $3,710.00+; S.G. #12, a; £3,214+).
