Richard II (1377-99), Quarter-Noble, 1.90g, London, type Ib/IIIa mule, shield within tressure, new style lettering, reads di gra, rev. fish tail letters, pellet in centre (Schneider 157 - same dies; Stewartby Ib/IIIa, p.258; N.1318/1319; S.1673/1675), struck from a rusty obverse die and the reverse somewhat 'woolly' but a clear regnal title and overall nearly very fine, this a very rare mule of issues for this coinage
