                        Richard II (1377-99), Groat, 4.42g, type II, m.m. cross pattée, crowned facing bust, new lettering, rev. civitas london trefoil of pellets in quarters of long cross (Stewartby II, p.261; N.1320b; S.1679), light scratches on king's face with some general weakness but a respectable piece for the coinage of Richard II with an above average portrait and a larger flan than is usually seen, very fine
