Hiberno-Norse Vikings, early period, 919-25, Penny, 1.18g, St Peter sword type, sci¯pe / trimo in two lines, divided by sword placed horizontally across field, pommel to the left, cross above legend and at tip of sword, letter i in legend represented by an inverted voided mallet, rev. +eboracei, cross pattée with pellets in angles within inner circle (Blackburn II, p.38; N.555; S.1014), uneven tone but a quality, sharp strike, extremely fine
