#15, 1859 5c Vermilion, single with deep luxuriant color, tied by four ring cancel to cover to Synden, matching "Ontario, C.W./Nov ?, 1868" datestamp, with "MISSENT-TO" straightline handstamp and "Clifton, C.W./Nov 16, 1868" c.d.s., with manuscript "try Lynden", cover with small corner nick at bottom right, very fine; there was no such post office as Snyden, the manuscript "try Lynden" was added by post office staff, Clifton and Lynden were about 50 miles apart on the Great Western Railway, Clifton had earlier been Suspension Bridge and later became Niagara Falls; ex-Dale-Lichtenstein.
