A very scarce and fine quality example the seeded gilt back plate with gilt mounts, comprising crowned battle honour circles (11 honours), in the centre on a domed ground '83', below the double circle a further honour 'Cape Of Good Hope', the whole with attendant laurel sprays, c.1840-1855 (pattern similar to Parkyn 504), excellent condition
