A scarce fine quality example the gilt back plate with gilt mounts, comprising a crowned double circle of battle honours ' Bladensburg Badajoz Ava Salamanca Peninsula Waterloo', in the centre engine turned numerals '44' upon a domed ground, laurel sprays to the outer circle of battle honours, at the bottom the Sphinx/Egypt, c.1830-1855 (Parkyn 362), very fine condition
