A very fine and scarce example the gilt seeded and burnished back plate with silver and gilt mounts, comprising a large multi-rayed beaded star bearing a crowned circular strap, 'Queen's Own' and enclosing the numerals '50' on a domed ground, at the bottom the Sphinx/Egypt, c.1850-1855 (Parkyn 402), one mount fastener missing otherwise excellent condition
