37th (North Hampshire) Regiment of Foot
An extremely fine and rare example, the silver-gilt (Hallmarks for Birmingham 1828) back plate by S.H., with silver mounts, comprising a scroll 'Minden' over laurel sprays within the laurels the crown over engine turned numerals '37', below the laurels a scroll 'Peninsula', c.1827-1835, excellent condition

The 37th were silver laced prior to 1830 therefore this all silver example required a gilt wash to the back plate after that date.
