A fine quality example the gilt back plate with silver and gilt mounts, comprising a crowned multi-rayed facetted star, below the crown a scroll 'Peninsula', an oval strap 'Veteri Frondescit Honore', in the centre on a domed ground a dragon over '3', emanating from the strap are seven gilt battle honour bars 'Talavera Pyrenees Nive Punniar Nivelle Albuhera Douro', complete with original leather liner, c.1845-1855, excellent condition
