Prince Edward Island Third Issue 1862 (November) Printing, Yellowish Toned Paper, Perf 11 1/2-12 Covers 1869 (6 July) envelope from Charlotte Town to Portree, Isle of Skye bearing 3d. blue and 6d. yellow-green paying the single letter rate to U.K., both with central manuscript cross and lightly cancelled by barred numeral "13" with the 3d. additionally tied by "paid/liverpool/br. packet" c.d.s. (25.7) in red and showing, on reverse, Type P6 and arrival (23.7) datestamps. A very rare, neat and attractive franking. Vincent Greene Foundation Certificate (2004).
