Prince Edward Island Early Letters and Handstamps Mail from Great Britain 1792 (19 Sept.) double rate entire letter ex the "Douglas" correspondence from Hamilton addressed to "Island of St John, Gulf of St. Lawrence" via an agent in Halifax, marked "Pd 3/8" in red ink and "1/6", showing red London double-ring "paid" d.s. and, on reverse, fine "halifax/n: scotia" split double-ring d.s. of 12 November 1892 (crossed by vertical filing crease); some minor wear along folds.
