Newfoundland Airmails 1930 (Oct.) "Miss Columbia" On October 9 1930 the "Miss Columbia" took off from Harbour Grace and after covering 2,650 miles was forced down on the beach at Tresco Island in the Scilly Isles Envelope addressed to London, bearing 2c. (defective) and 24c. (2), all tied by Harbour Grace datestamp of 9th October and showing manuscript detailed certificate of despatch, signed by Postmaster, W.H. Kennedy; the envelope creased and with some other minor faults. Very scarce. Photo Estimate £ 350-450
