Tibet Pre-Stamp Covers Sikkim Field Force: 1888 (Oct.) India 1/2a. stationery envelope from Raniket addressed to, "Captain Sandbag, Sappers & Minors, Field Force, Sikkim". Fine and scarce. Photo Estimate HK$ 5,000-6,000 Arthur Sandbach (Sandbag is a nickname) served with the Sikkim Field Force in 1888-89. They crossed into Tibet on 9th November 1888 where his unit spent three weeks at "Camp Byutan" where they estalished the first British P.O.
