Tibet Pre-Stamp Covers — 1889 (28 Feb.) envelope bearing G.B. 1881 1d. lilac (5) tied by part duplex cancellations, addressed to, Arthur Sandbach, Royal Engineers, Sikkim Field Force, Sikkim" and bearing, on the reverse, Sea Post Office c.d.s. (12.3) and a good strike of the rare "experimental p.o." thimble c.d.s. (21.3), code "C-22"; some damage to the flap. Rare, one of only five "C-22" covers recorded.
