Hillman´s Airways Ltd., 5 shilling shares, 19[35], no.1566, issued to Squadron Leader George Dermot Daly (subsequently Air Chief Marshal), decorative border, brown, good very fine. Company originally formed in 1931 by Edward Henry Hillman. Airline began a scheduled service between Romford and Clacton using de Havilland Dragons and Fox Moths. The fare was £1 return. Later set up a service to Paris and gained contracts to fly mail between London, Liverpool, Glasgow and Belfast. Merged with other airlines in 1935 to form British Airways. Estimate £ 80-100
