Whitehead Aircraft (1917) Ltd., £1 ordinary shares, 19[18], no.911, signed by James Whitehead and Digby Whitehead as directors, vignette of airfield flanked by small bi-planes, underprint of bi-plane below, green and black. good very fine. Founded by John Whitehead in 1915 but reorganized in 1917 on being given a contract to build Sopwith and Farmans under licence. Liquidated in 1919 on cessation of war contracts. Estimate £ 120-150
