Northern Nigeria Cameroon Anglo-German Border Commission 1908 (21 Feb.) much-travelled envelope from England addressed to "Sergeant Goldsmith W.A.F.F., S. Nigeria Regiment, Oka, Wet Africa" bearing GB 1d. Sergeant Goldsmith had been sent up the Niger and Benue rivers to Ibi, Northern Nigeria as an Escort to the Anglo-German Boundaries Commission. He could not be traced and the letter was returned to sender in Essex. The envelope with many redirection markings and showing rare "oka/southern nigeria" double-ring d.s. for 30 March, 8 April and ?
