Antarctica 1901-04 British National Antarctic Expedition by Robert F. Scott The First Relief Expedition 1903 (5 Apr.) Morning crested envelope and letter from Gerald Doorly at Lyttelton to England, bearing Expedition label in deep blue with manuscript "S.Y. MORNING" at foot and in combination with 1d. Universal sharing Lyttelton squared-circle d.s. (6.4), the reverse with Christchurch (6.4) and Alton (18.5) c.d.s.; a wonderful letter giving an account of "our little trip to the Southern Seas" with details of the outward voyage, the meeting up with Discovery with transportation of supplies, leaving Discovery for a second winter, and the return voyage to New Zealand.
