Gibraltar The Spanish Overland Mail Regular arrangements were made, about 1749, for the English Mails to be carried through Spain although the service was suspended in times of war 1767 (7 Jan.) entire letter from Larache, Morocco to Marseilles, carried privately to Gibraltar where it was endorsed on reverse "A cheminée par votre tres humble serviteur Gibr le 12 Janv 1767 David Diaz Carvalho", forwarded overland and showing a fine strike of the Seville "Andalucia/Alta" h.s.; slight ink-etching on face panel, otherwise most attractive.
