The Second War South East Asia ´Special Operations´ M.C. Attributed to Levy Jemadar Saw Khin Maung, Burma Levies Military Cross, G.VI.R., reverse officially dated ´1947´ , nearly extremely fine, in Royal Mint case of issue, this somewhat distressed Estimate £ 500-600 M.C. London Gazette 25.7.1947 Levy Jemadar Saw Khin Maung, Burma Levies ´In recognition of gallant and distinguished services, whilst engaged in Special Operations in South East Asia (prior to September, 1945).´ 7045 Levy Jemadar Saw Khin Maung, M.C. enlisted in the 1st Burma Rifles in 1938, and served during the Second World War with 136 Force, under the command of Major Peacock. He was awarded the M.C. for gallantry at the battle of Thaw Thee Kho (recipient´s reminisces refer) Sold by the Royal Commonwealth Ex-Services League in aid of the recipient and his family.
