PeruIncoming Mail1790 circa. Folded cover from Madrid to Lima, denoting the route with "Por La Coruña-Cartagena" in ink at bottom left, handstamped on dispatch with crowned "M./Franqueado." postmark in black for a prepaid letter, and red "España" of Corunna. Reverse showing manuscript "30rs" indicating the payment by the sender of the up to 2½ ounces rate. The only known letter, addressed to South America, with these postmarks used in conjunction. Ex Camino.
