ColombiaClassic Period1864, 20c. blue, diagonal half used as 10c. on cover addressed to Bogotá, cancelled by three pen strokes. We confirm with confidence the genuineness of this cover, which was part of a small and further intact portion of the Samper family archive, which was found out in Bogota in 2011 by Dieter Bortfeldt and Investphila. One of only six covers recorded bearing a bisect of this value, which was used, out of the norm, when the 10c. adhesives were not available. Cert. Bortfeldt. Scott 39. Photo
