ColombiaClassic Period1864, 5c. orange, well margined pair, types 4-5, paying a single weight entire letter up to 10 grams to Bogotá, tied by "Popayán" and strokes in manuscript. Vertical crease impinging on one adhesive. Less than ten covers with this franking (two 5c.), few of them being a pair, which is the largest recorded multiple on cover; furthermore, a rare cancellation usage in this period. Cert. Bortfeldt.
