ColombiaSeventh Issue1864, 10c. violet, four examples with predominantly good margins, applied on large registered envelope to Socorro, tied by "Bogotá" oval handstamps and "Certificación á Bogotá/Salió en 13 de mayo 1865" two-lines postmark with date inserted in manuscript, showing "0" numeral along sides following the norm for registered mail. "30 gr." notation amended to "27 gr." at top, with the franking overpaying by 5 centavos; nevetheless, one stamp seems to be missing, which may have been removed by the postal clerk then after having verified an overpayment. Annotation as received by addressee and signature inside. Cover patched where small portions of paper are lost. A unique franking thus. Scott 38. Photo
