Rumania1858, 54 parale blue on greenish blue laid paper, good impression boasting a remarkable freshness, large balanced margins all around, used on early 8 August 1858 entire letter from Jassy to Prince Ghika in Galatz, delicately and cleanly tied by "Jassy/Moldova/8-8" double circle datestamp in blue, showing "54." in manuscript on reverse, confirming the rate paid with the denomination applied and corresponding to the single weight for the second distance. The pen cross on front in the middle denotes the payment to destination. Negligible horizontal crease at top without damaging the adhesive.
