Latin AmericaEcuador1928-30, THE SCADTA IN ECUADOR. One-frame internationally awarded collection arranged in 12 exhibition pages (29x28 cm) featuring 20 covers and 89 stamps, representing the whole period of scadta in Ecuador, including first flights (significant items in this collection) with unique 16.6.1928 cover franked by Herbert Boy, 30.7 cover (inaugural flight); complete set of provisionals (45° & 41°) including the "50 CTS" in block of four, all varieties in size of the number 1 in 1s. & registration 1s. adhesives, plus a good array of the provisionals with different cancellations (Guayaquil, Esmeraldas, Bahía de Caráquez, Quito on first day of use) including those used in a very short period and propaganda; six covers bearing all provisionals used; one cover with Scott C1-C3 which, according to the sender, originates from Ambato (unique); cover bearing 75c. and German advertising cancel (less than 5 known) being the latest recorded usage for a provisional (28.3.1929); three more covers including the following frankings: 75c. (2)+3s., 1,5s., 3s. (cancellation advertising in English); registered cover with endorsement of the Legation of Bolivia with 1,5s.+registration 1s.; definitive Scadta stamps with "Specimen" overprints as well as the set mint plus used examples including rare cancellations such as the only known from Ambato; seven covers and one postcard with definitive issue, of which two representing the last Scadta flight in Ecuador, one registered with "R" 1s., etc; official mail with the just two covers recorded, being true gems of high importance in this field; "Correo Mancomún" with two items. All covers in this collection are accordingly franked with regular stamps to pay the corresponding portion of postage. The collection includes research which has not been previously published and material being offered for the first time at auction.
