Envelope from Yokohama to Milan (Italy), franked by 1874 20s. dark violet on wove paper, syllabic 5, rich deep colour, cancelled by cork type, being also tied in transit at New York, showing red "Yokohama/Paid All", "San Francisco/Paid All" c.d.s.'s and "5./Cents" handstamp alongside, with Milan c.d.s. on reverse.
