"Sketch Map of the Neighbourhood of Aden Shewing The Kafilah Routes" on thin cloth (45 x 36 cm), in scale 10 miles to an inch, representing the relative positions occupied by the neighbouring tribes, designed entirely by hand with pen and watercolour (the latter being more visible on reverse after having notably faded on front). Staining and tone spots which may be cleaned or reduced. An impressive and meticulous work of great rarity.
