1875ca. "Plan of Aden" on thin cloth (52 x 36 cm), in scale 3 inches to 1 mile, designed entirely by hand with pen and watercolour in black and red; the orography of the mountainous terrain and the sea, represented in dark carmine and blue, have on front and are more visible on reverse. At top right is also represented, in larger scale, the "Plan of Aden Troop Lines at Khor Maksar". Staining and tone spots which may be cleaned or reduced. An impressive and meticulous work of great rarity.
