Letter from Puerto Cabello to London, endorsed "per packet via Southampton", with "1/-" (one shilling) notation indicating single rate paid in cash at the British P.O. on dispatch, with fine "Porto-Cabello" doube arc in black, with arrival on reverse. To our knowledge, the latest usage recorded of this datestamp (Parmenter records 23.12.1858).
