1875, 10c. yellow and greenish blue, first printing, cancelled by red pen cross, on 5 July 1875, docketed inside, cover from Cap Haitien (Haiti) to Port au Prince, endorsed "Maracaibo", this being a HAPAG ship which operated on secondary routes. Vertical and horizontal crease clear away of the franking. A rare and fascinating usage. Cert. Moorhouse. Also three further 10c. examples off-cover including one mint with o.g., and two used with handstamp and blue-crayon cancel. Yv. 13. Ex Borromeo D'Adda.
