1874, April 23. Entire letter from Cap Haitien to Le Havre, carried by the "Louisiane", franked at single rate with 1870 40c. orange and 1872 30c. brown pair, tied by anchor lozenges, showing "Le Cap-Haïtien" consular postmark (Salles fig. 1366), rarely struck in violet, and "Ligne-B/Paq. Fr. N°2" backstamp. Vertical filing fold clear of the franking, of no importance. Maury 38, 56. Ex Borromeo d'Adda.
