Compañia Aeronautica Uruguaya. Cinco Acciones de $ 100, Montevideo, 1936, unissued. Nr. 6761-6765. Compañía Aeronáutica Uruguaya S.A. (CAUSA) was founded in 1936. The airline focused its operations on the busy and financially lucrative Montevideo-Buenos Aires route. Operations started on the 12 March 1938 with two Junkers Ju52s, carrying seventeen passengers and configured as floatplanes. The routes Montevideo-Punta del Este and Buenos Aires-Colonia were later opened in 1940 and in 1943 respectively. During its service of nearly 30 years, these three routes were the only ones that were operated by the airline. Company Logo and Airplane in the underprint. EF.
