Soc. Immobilière du Domaine de Rothschild. Action F 100, Grasse, 5 Juin 1925. Alice Charlotte von Rothschild (1847-1922) was the eighth and youngest child of Anselm von Rothschild (1803–1874). She owned the magnificent château "Villa Victoria" in the town of Grasse in the south of France, where she created an enormous garden that required more than one hundred gardening employers to keep. Queen Victoria, a close friend, vacationed in Grasse and visited Villa Victoria. After Alice Charlotte’s death the château became the hotel "Parc Palace". View of the garden in the underprint. VF.
