1921, 30c. rose, handstamped "Servicio Postal/Aéreo de Colombia/PANAMA" by boxed rubber type, used by indistinct cachet in red. Couple of creases and small thinning (faults are associated with this issue). After the Gonzalo Mejía experiment in New York, a further attempt was made at the Scadta Agency in Panama, where few examples of the first and second issues received this special cachet and were sold in 1921. This issue is considered as a pre-consular experiment. One of only four stamps recorded with this handstamp. A desirable rarity for both collectors of Colombian airmails and Panama. Cert. Bortfeldt.
