1872, 6 c. green (Jalapa, 20-73) in very fine strip of four applied on reverse of 10 September 1873 entire letter from Papantla to Bordeaux, tied by ''Franqueado En/Papantla'' elliptical handstamp (Schatzkès 626), with single rate ''GB/1F 60c'' Anglo-French accountancy marking on front, together with ''12'' decimes due from recipient and Calais entry, with London and Bordeaux cds's on back. The cover was carried by the ''Corsica'' from Veracruz to St. Thomas and thence to Plymouth by the ''Moselle''. A scarce cover of delightful visual appeal. Cert. Holcombe. Scott 93.
