1921, "$ 030", violet surcharge on 50c. green, defective in lower right corner, tied by SCADTA "Sociedad Colombo-Alemana/De/Transportes Aéreos" handstamp on cover from Bogotá to Manchester (Great Britain), upfranked, for the foreign rate, with 10c. tied by Bogotá c.d.s. dated October 1921.   The Colomphil catalogue states in its 2004 edition that only two covers, bearing this surcharge, were then recorded and dated 22 December 1921; this cover would represent a third usage but the date, two months before these two usages, and the slight differences in the surcharge, would lead to believe that this surcharge would be a new, previously unrecorded, type.
