1921, "VALOR 10 CENTAVOS" on 50c. pale green, inverted surcharge in greyish blue, pair used on December 2 cover front from Girardot to Barranquilla, accompanied by first issue 50c. pale green, cancelled by "Sociedad Colombo-Alemana/Correos Aéreos/Girardot", paying the 70c. down-river rate per 45 grams, being the same weight paid with "Correos Nacionales" 5c. and 10c. tied by Barranquilla framed datestamp. Trivial soiling around edges of stamps, only mentioned for accuracy. One of only three commercial covers known with this surcharge (the others, nine, are addressed to Behr-Heyder), this being unique exhibiting this variety. Very desirable.
