1921, Sept. 19, First Day of Regular SCADTA Flights. Commercial envelope from Barranquilla to Medellín, flown on the first regular flight from Barranquilla to Bogotá, bearing 30c. black on rose, five singles, cancelled by four-line SCADTA handstamp, and postage covered by 5c. and 10c. cancelled by airmail oval handstamp of Barranquilla, with arrival on reverse. Each franking paid the five-times rate corresponding to its portion of the journey. Some imperfections to be expected in such a large envelope, not detracting from this rare franking. Scott C14.
