Byrd Jr. (pioneering American aviator and polar explorer) at Bogotá during a short visit to Colombia, franked by 30c. black on rose vertical pair, cancelled by "Sociedad Colombo-Alemana/de Transportes Aéreos/El Director Técnico - El Director Comercial" three-line handstamp, with postage being paid by 3c. pair tied by framed datestamp of Bogotá.
