SA Anelli -Stabilimento Pianoforti - Autopiani Meccaniche. Azione 100 da 500 L., Cremona, 31. Marzo 1926. Nr. 301/100. The Anelli family is probably the most famous Italian dynasty of organs and pianos builders. Antonio (1795-1883) founded an organ factory in Codogno. His son Gualterio (1841-1880), was followed by his son Pietro (1863-1939). Pietro specialized in the construction of harpsichords and pianos. He moved the factory to Cremona in 1896. In 1918 the Company was converted into a SA and was very successful in the production of special types of pianos. Later his four sons continued the works. Picture of Antonio Anelli (1795-1883) and Antonio Stradivari (ca. 1644(!)–1737), both from Cremona. Implying what Stradivari is for violins and Anelli is for pianos and organs.
