Lot: 364

Glen Grant-42 year old
Imported by Pinerolo, Torino. Bottled in 1980s by Gordon & MacPhail, Wine & Spirits Merchants, Elgin
Matured in oak cask. Good label. Level: top Shoulder.

This was certainly distilled before WWII. .Nose: kind of a mixture of all other three. Superb. Old leather, beeswax, fresh mint leaves, putty, butter, almonds and walnuts, dried beef, ham, humus, old furniture. Hints of horse sweat. Mashed potatoes (strange at that age). Mouth: excellent attack, even if it’s a tad dusty. Big mint and liquorice, orange liqueur (triple-sec), chlorophyll, strong tea, walnut skin and smoked ham. Touches of peat. Strawberry sweets. Truly excellent, very complex. (5 stars-Whiskyfun)

75.7cl. Single Malt., 70 degree Proof.
